Approach

No one can promise a lender's sanction.

What we can promise is a disciplined process: understand the requirement, assess the case across every available route, structure the proposal, prepare the information and coordinate professionally with the appropriate lender.

If we do not believe the case is fundable as it stands, we say so at the screening stage and explain why. Where we can, we point you to someone better placed. There is no charge for that conversation.

Check the fit

Engagement process

Six stages, from the first conversation to funds in the account. The same ground is covered whatever the eventual route.

  1. 01

    Understand

The business, funding purpose, existing banking, turnover, profitability, promoter profile and repayment capacity.

No charge and no commitment at this stage.

  2. 02

    Screen

Which route actually fits. The case is assessed across every available route: bank, NBFC or a combination.

If we do not believe the case is fundable as it stands, we say so here.

  3. 03

    Structure

The proposed facility, quantum, end-use and supporting financial story, tested against the norms the lender will apply.

If a structure would over-burden the business, we say so and propose an alternative rather than push the larger number.

  4. 04

    Prepare

The information and documents the lender requires, in the form the credit team expects.

Where records are incomplete, we say plainly what is missing and help build the file properly.

  5. 05

    Present

Lender selection, submission, and credit queries and appraisal discussions handled directly. We select the bank or NBFC that fits the business, and present one strong case.

Before the file is logged in, we speak to the banker and explain the proposal on your behalf. The file is submitted only after a positive response.

  6. 06

    Execute

Sanction conditions, documentation, security creation and disbursement coordination.

We stay with the case until the funds are in your account.

Sparks from a machine cutting sheet metal

Anyone who promises a sanction is not being straight with you.

Approval depends on the lender's appraisal, business viability, financials, banking conduct, credit history, end-use and documentation.

How we are different

We are not agents. We are engaged and paid by the client, and we recommend the lender that suits the business, not the one that pays for the file.

Typical agents MaroonBrick
Typical agents: Submit the file and disappear MaroonBrick: A detailed study of the case before anything is submitted
Typical agents: The same proposal sent to several banks MaroonBrick: Lender selected for the case, one strong proposal
Typical agents: Little to no guidance MaroonBrick: Complete involvement at every stage
Typical agents: Earn commission from banks MaroonBrick: Engaged and paid by the client. No commission from any lender.
Typical agents: Junior staff handle the case MaroonBrick: A senior professional handles every case personally. No juniors, no handoffs.

Is this right for you?

We are honest about who we can help. If we cannot, we will tell you.

Incomplete accounts are common and are usually fixable. We assess what exists, say plainly what is missing, and help build the file properly.

Questions we are asked

Do you only work with CGTMSE loans?

No. It is one route among several. The route depends on what fits the business.

Does MaroonBrick sanction loans?

No. We are an advisory and coordination practice. The credit decision rests entirely with the lending institution.

How are you paid?

By the client, under an agreed engagement. We take no commission from lenders.

Is approval guaranteed?

No. It depends on the lender's appraisal, business viability, financials, banking conduct, credit history, end-use and documentation. Anyone who promises a sanction is not being straight with you.

How long does it take?

There is no universal timeline. We give a realistic estimate once we have seen the file, and would rather quote a longer honest timeline than a shorter convenient one.

We have never taken a bank loan. Will a lender consider us?

Frequently, yes. Several of our selected engagements were first bank facilities.

What if you cannot help?

We say so at the screening stage and explain why. Where we can, we point you to someone better placed. There is no charge for that conversation.
